A California Non-profit Dedicated to the Prevention of Cruelty to Farm Animals

because laws are only as good as their enforcement

Investigations:

Farm Animals are living creatures entitled to legal, moral and ethical consideration and protection.

Animal Cruelty Investigations Inc. (ACI), is a registered Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

Intentional cruelty, neglect or abuse, is knowingly depriving a farm animal of food, water, shelter, or veterinary care. It is also the malicious torturing, maiming, mutilating, overworking or killing of a farm animal.

ACI/SPCA is a non profit 501(c)(3) organization that helps protect healthy, sick and injured FARM animals.

Our State Humane Officers get their enforcement powers from the California Corporations Code 14502, and can exercise the powers of a peace officer while investigating animal-related crimes.

The ACI/SPCA Investigation Department has officers and investigators in the field seven days a week, handling a variety of farm animal cruelty and neglect complaints.

While our primary focus is educating owners about proper care for their farm animals, we will use all the authority that we have been given to ensure every farm animal receives care and protection as set forth by California State law.

It's obvious we need to send a stronger message...[read more]

Sickly baby bunnies, turtles stacked on top of each other in paint buckets, and puppies stuffed into tiny cages withering away in the hot sun. That's not what you'd expect on the streets of downtown Los Angeles, but to the criminals who profit off these animal babies, LA's black market is big business.

Hardly known to most Los Angelenos illegal street sales abound in downtown's Santee Alley. Until now. ACI worked directly with the Los Angeles Police Department in November of last year and provided them with the body of evidence that was necessary to take down the entire animal-dealing cartel. In the past couple of weeks, several arrests have been made including key players in this ring...[read more]
